Drivian Telematics is a product developed by Sentilant – Consultoria e Inovação, Lda, headquartered in Coimbra, Portugal. Sentilant is the data controller responsible for the personal data collected through this application and is committed to processing it in full compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable national legislation.

Purpose of This App
The Drivian Telematics Demo App is intended exclusively for evaluation and testing purposes. It allows prospective clients and partners to experience firsthand the capabilities of the Drivian Telematics mobile SDK — including driving behaviour detection, trip tracking, and risk scoring — before integrating it into their own applications.
Data We Collect
To deliver its core functionality, the app collects the following data while a trip is active:
- Smartphone sensor data — accelerometer, gyroscope and magnetometer readings, used to detect driving events such as hard braking, aggressive acceleration, sharp cornering and distraction.
- Location data — GPS coordinates used for trip route reconstruction and contextual analysis.
- Other trip metadata — trip start/end times, duration and distance.
No financial, payment or sensitive personal data is collected.
Legal Basis for Processing
Data is processed on the basis of your explicit consent, provided at the time of registration and before any data collection begins. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us directly.
Data Retention
Sensor and trip data associated with your account will be retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date of collection. Account data will be retained until you request deletion of your account.
Your Rights
As a data subject under GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectify any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your data, also known as the right to be forgotten.
- Restrict or object to processing.

Data Storage and Security
All data is stored in cloud infrastructure located within the European Union. Sentilant applies appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your personal data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls and regular security reviews.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most recent version of the document will always be available through the app. Continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
